Beautiful Old Photographs - Alba de Rota (BNID2069)

This is Mario de Baseggio's (BNID0070) great-grandmother Alba (BNID2069) sitting on the porch of the de Rota family's residence in Momian. The shot was taken at around 1910 and the striking thing is that it looks like a modern day snapshot. No formal dress, no posture, just relaxed Alba casually reading a book. Compared to most other photos taken around this time, this shot is something special, indeed.
