baseggio.net Website Redesign 2018
Dear Cousins
We are happy and proud to announce that our newly designed website went live today. Check out the result: http://www.baseggio.net
We tried to achieve a closer integration with social media, streamlined the site structure and navigation and gave it a fresher, modern look.
These are some highlights:
In addition to the 50+ changes introduced to the website we also designed a new Internet Coat of Arms which replaces the former logo with immediate effect. You can read the detailed description of all Coats of Arms in our Research section.
And last but not least, we have a mascot now: Basil the Raven! He looks very serious, when he‘s on official duty, like populating the top left quadrant of our new Internet Coat of Arms, but off duty (like in our new Facebook and Twitter profile pictures), he seems to be a happy fellow. (You may read the article about our Internet Coat of Arms to find out what makes a raven the ideal mascot for our genealogy project.)

- The website is now fully responsive, providing optimized layouts for mobile devices and desktop computers.
- The Family Trees section offers the brand new Checkerboard View.
- A Blog section that allows easy content sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
