Franco Baseggio, co-founder of baseggio.net, passed away on April 17, 2007.
I am saddened by the loss of a great man who has contributed an incredible amount of time and hard work to this site.
More than 10 years ago I was addressed via e-mail by a guy who claimed to have the same coat of arms I had published on an early version of this family website. Three bones and a crown on top. That guy was Franco and it was the beginning of our long and intense cooperation - the result is the site you are currently visiting. Even though we have never met I feel like having lost a friend - and a relative.
Franco, thank you so much for your excellent work and for your truly baseggesque sense of humour.
